Our Story and Mission
Who Are We? - We are the Rational Youth Initiative, an interactive and youth-led project that seeks to make philosophy and its concepts accessible to high-school students, and those generally interested in the field. Our Rational Youth Initiative was founded in late 2023 on Instagram and we have since expanded our channel to provide opportunities for volunteering and now this new online dictionary! But this is just the start of Rational Youth! Through us, we hope you gain even a little bit more knowledge on philosophy - no matter how small.
Mission - Rational Youth is a youth-led initiative that aims to create simple, quality, and educational materials on philosophy and related concepts. Our mission with this dictionary is to create an open dictionary of philosophical concepts, offering dictionary entries to enhance understanding of various topics. Our entries aim to be short, concise, and innovative, but also comprehensive. We hope to engage and expand our audience on Instagram and continue to provide both regular entries on the RYI Dictionary of Philosophy, as well as continuing our posts and content on Instagram.
